I think that you are the first to have this issue? Interesting.

Try smooth band worm clamp to prevent chewing into the hose and possibly binding instead of tightening. T-bolt style clamp would be even better.

More info : http://www.xr-underground.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=40669&highlight=hose

True, not sure why ur using that type of clamp on that type of hose in the first place? C'mon Mark thought you'd be better then that?

Ha forgot I had posted in that thread, here's a direct link to the right clamps

Google is ur friend Mark!(for the correct clamps that is). Have u tried any tricks for keeping the hose sealed other then the clamps?

Not sure if you'll ever find black t bolt or worm gear clamps being that they're stainless and can't be anodized. If u have to have them black I would just order regular stainless ones and just spray them with some Plastidip and call it a day

Bottom of the page on the link has the T-bolt clamps

Bottom section in this link has the worm gear ones that don't have the cutouts exposed to the hose

I though he was referring to boosted air, I've been turning wrenches for over 20 yrs and if I didn't know that the coolant system has pressure then I should just sell all my tools now

Clampco T-bolt clamps FTW!!!

I would definitely clean those crusty areas well. Also checking the inside of the hose ends. Then when all checks out properly re-install with your proper parts.

What is the benefit of these hoses? I hate when something so simple gives such a fit. I think after the warrantied set I would go back to OEM, or check into some SAMCO brand. I always had great luck with them on other rides. Good luck.

I already tried to get Samco to make them for our trucks, some years ago. They were intersted but my OEM ones never made it out of the States. Just were returned three months later.

I guess I would have to talk with one of their US branches and see if they can ship them?
