Do amps need to be well vented for heat reasons?

damn, the under backseat seemed like such a good idea for me.
o well, back to the drawing board.

It'll probably be ok in there. As long as the amp and sub are matched to each other, the amp is adjusted correctly, and all the wiring and connections are good, it shouldn't get too hot. Wosrt case scenario almost all amps have some kind of overheat protection and it'll kick off if it gets too hot. But an amp small enough to fit back there, if its correctly set up, shouldn't put off enough heat to worry about.

i have a threw 12" RE Audio SEX subs i want to sell. thought about putting 1 in the X, but im tight on space
