Aero Exhaust installed

~EDIT: Video is up ~

I was hoping to get my hands on a Jardine... but thanks to some needed repairs for the house I wasn't able to get URD's last one. :frown:

So after spending months of trolling youtube and the forum, listening to all kinds of exhaust systems, I finally made a decision.

Aero Turbine XL, 3"...

I thought about getting the normal AT3030, but I'm not really looking for huge insane sound. So I figured with the XL (built in resonator) that it'll end up being just right once I get my hands on some DTLTs. Too bad Aero actually went out of business, because they were only a couple hour drive from me. But luckily Jones Exhaust bought the rights.

Side note, after searching and searching, I found the cheapest place. She'll be here Monday which I have the day off...so if all goes well Tuesday morning I'll be pissing off the neighborhood as I drive to work.

I run the at3030 with a magnaflow muffler.
The at3030 alone is loud.

I had this same one. Sounded great. Pissed my buddy off cuz at the time it was louder than his stock Camaro SS exhaust...... which as REALLY quiet from the factory.

Look at what was already sitting on the porch this morning before I even woke up. Now if i had just scheduled to get it installed today instead of tomorrow.

With the DTLT, 2 cats and a JBA 2.5" my X got a little louder. Now if I was to get the 2525 Aero, how much more sound woud I get and power gain?

Is that the 2525, or the 2525XL?

I see the part # has a 3 in it, so it might be bigger....

The 2525 XL would fit the exhaust pipe of the JBA

That my friend is the 3030XL. My plan is to add a TRD S/C down the road, so figure it'd be easier to upgrade to 3" now.

I'm also getting a new tip, the thing is massive, 4" inlet with a 4"x8" oval. Fits the gap nicely. I'll have a video and pics up tomorrow when everything gets installed.

if you get a regular 2525, it'll get insanely loud. Do a search on youtube, XrunnIT has one up with DTLT and 2525XL and that was quite loud. There's also a vid there for a XR running a 3030, that's just insane.

As for power, I can't really say. I'm doing mine just for the sound. :drool2:

BTW. a 2525 is the regular turbine muffler 2.5" inlet/outlet, it's about 2/3 the size of the one in the picture. The XL is the muffler with a built in resonator.

I had a feeling due to the length. That XL will sound extremely nice. The internal resonator makes the tone beautiful.

Gotcha can't wait for the sound clip, I've been thinking about getting one of these mufflers for a while.

Vids are up. I highly recommend watching them with good headphones or speakers. There's a lot of bass to it that crummy laptop speakers can't pickup. Also to give a comparison, I'll post here the stock exhaust I had on. The custom tip I had changed the tone of the stock exhaust.

Sounds really nice. Much better than stock.

One thing though, and maybe it was just the angle of the camera, but your exhaust tip didn't really serm like it flowed with the body kit. Seemed like it was tweaked just a bit. Like I said could have been the camera angle.
