I'm more curious on the electrical draw on those two spal fans. Taking the dimensions is a cake walk. However on the 4runner you'll need to either have a standalone oil cooler for the trans or have that incorporated into the custom rad. Personally I'd have a stand alone one and there are already mount implemented by the factory for such use.

Put in some wrench time this weekend. Had all of the puzzle pieces to install the Ohlins.

The uninstall.

This is where it gets graphic.

This is after almost 4 years of useage. Three+ with what worked for the bottom mount. This particular picture is after my most recent bushing/sleeve update, but it was already quite damaged from what came with the QA1 kit. As nothing was a precise fit with the OEM LCA bolt.

This is what it looked like before and after I changed the bottom bushing setup.

And here it is with the recent sleeve that perfectly fit the lower bolt. Not an easy part to find, nor cheap!

The damage was already done to the shock though, but this still worked well for its short stint. Had the shock body not already been damaged, then these would have worked very well for likely a long time. The bushing material could been a harder durameter though.

Cleaned the 2.5" springs and swapped them over.

Sometimes I really miss the joy of a bolt on product. Lol.

The reason is, that currently my truck is running without the ProEFI. I would like it to work regardless if I am running that unit or not.

The I.D. of the "14mm" bearings on the Ohlins, was actually 14.8mm. I am glad I test fit the new OEM bolts prior to installation. Otherwise there would have been to much play between the bearing and the bolt. The best solution was to pick up some Grade 8 9/16" bolts. Since they are 14.5625mm. I may still go back and try a 5/8" bolt still, just because it will be a slightly tighter tolerance.

Anyway, the 9/16" bolts fit the LCA perfectly. Only had to drill the top mount, since it was 1/2" originally.

Rotated it to drill, since I don't have a vice.

No you don't and I don't think Tor does either.

i believe there is a post a few pages back where torspd says "its a $75K truck"

Like they said. I don't want to know, but I have to know. If I had a budget, I'd likely be way over, if I weren't a race team. Unfortunately I am not a race team.

$75k was the last rough estimate. There have been all sorts of miscellaneous expenses as well. The recent additions of coilovers, UCA's, and cams make it at least $78k. So roughly $52k on build.

Zoom zoom :burnout:

There is a very positive side to all of the money spent on my build. It has help countless others with their builds or helped make parts available for their builds. Win win for every one.

Wooow just when I start thinking I've spent quite a bit on the truck and thinking about doing some more you go and say what youve already spent into your build blows me away! lol

At least you'll have one bad ass truck :D!

It is getting there, one mod at a time. :)

The time to be able to actually enjoy and race this build, is so very near.
