Today i was installing a hitch that i got from etrailer. It is a pretty nice design. However, today I realized that toyota uses terrible bolts in the rear frame. The bolts are slightly tapered with gaps in the threads back there. With that, your odds of crossthreading a bolt is real high. Matter of fact I really messed one up good. Its hard to even get them threaded in to start.
Ive worked on my acura for years and never had corssthreading issues like i did on this newer truck.
Guess Im gonna check out napa for a new bolt or two.
Anyone else feel the same way?:argh:
