So what is the latest info?

Also, will it be able to fit a T56 kit as well as the regular AY6 trans?

I have been testing twin disc clutches for going on 2 years now.

All hold tons of power, but have light switch engagement. Great if you spin the engines up to high RPM and dump the clutch for drag racing, but you just can't drive them on the street very well. So we have been working very hard to tone down that light switch engagement and develop something that is actually driveable.

I think we have nailed it finally!!

The latest one drives like a stock clutch but will hold a lot of power.

I have cleared it for production and the ball is rolling. I do not know exactly when I can start shipping them, but as soon as I have costs and a projected in stock date I can start taking pre-orders.

Yes, we will have a T56 version.

The clutch will be rated for 800 lb-ft of torque and if we swap in ceramic discs over 1000.

All this hard work has finally started to pay off.

Here is a vid of pulling out with the twin disc with just the engine idling!!!

Cool. Where did you get that??

From the one and only URD...:top::laugh:

Twin disc seems to be creme de la crop for drifting duties. Light switch engagement is kinda what we are looking for...

Hey Gadget......why is there an email address on your website? Ive sent numerous emails about product information and haven't seen the first reply. What gives man? Hopefully you can give a better answer than "you should call".

Yep, just a tad behind on emails. Will try to get caught up soon.

URD gets over 100 emails a day. If we take a day off it takes a week to catch back up. Did take some time off for the SEMA show and the TexFest and still trying to dig out.

Is it a centerforce? Drove a friends 98 Z28 with a twin turbo set up. Took a beating and was still fine when the car was sold.

Well over 10,000 miles on it.. but 3000 of it was getting back to the west coast so that really wouldn't count that much..

Some slight modifications are required to the hydraulic system and those parts will be included with the clutch assembly.
