Does the Tacoma ECU have the same plugs for both 4 cylinder and V6? Checking that thread in TW, it looks very similar to the 4 Cyl plugs.

I think starting in 2013, Toyota started using the same ECU connector for both the V6 and I4 engines. Now the odd thing, in 2016 they are using a different one than the V6 again, and a different one depending on if you have an auto or manual transmission. So, they are back to using three completely different ECU layouts for the Tacoma again like they did back in the 90s.

I think we have finally solved the ECU connector issue for the 09-15 Tacoma V6. MTF....

Outstanding!

Hopefully the connector for the 10+ FJ and 4Runner are the same as the Tacoma.

The same connector is used for the 2009-2015 Tacoma V6 and the 2010+FJ and 4Runner V6. I have the sample connector running in my 2010 4Runner.

Awesome! That's really good news. So all trucks from 2009 to 2015, whether the Single VVTi V6, DVVTi V6, or the I4, will be able to benefit from the new UCON?

Gadget, will this work on the 2009+ 2TR motor? I know it has the same plugs, but I don't know if you will make the UCON work with it.
