Here would be the Ultimate Tacoma 4.0 modification using current parts and some customizing.

Performance Upgrades:

- URD Super charger system
- Larger front mounted inter cooler
- Custom under drive pulleys for - Water pump & power Steering - Alternator only if you do not want to run ICE modifications.
- JBA header to custom exhaust into 1 pair of 100 cel cats - if not caring about smog go to the long tube headers with no cats
- TRD muffler
- Larger 2/3 core aluminum radiator
- Electric fan - removes persite drag of the mechanical one (yes I know it has a clutch but still frees up hp when removed =p
- Larger oil cooler

Exterior upgrades

- Install the X runner kit - Reduces aerodynamic drag
- Bed cover
- Short antenna

Wheels, tires, suspension, brakes:

- Stopteck front break kit
- Large front sways
- Rear sways
- 18 inch ASA rims (only 23lb a rim vs 29 stock)
- 255, 55, 18 tires, (dealers choice for application)
- Stiffer shocks - once the stock ones are dead
- SOS rear disc conversion - Brembo roters with hawk pads
- Stainless steel lines
- ATB super blue / gold

That is all I can think of right now. Problem is all of the parts listed are either available or you need to custom apply them.

Id take a TRD charged setup with some nitrous, an even smaller pulley, and a TRD 4 wheel disc brake kit.

i think that a TRD s/c would be much better. Especially if youre making some form of road race truck. By the looks of what you listed for performance, thats what youre going for. A TRD s/c'd truck has more power down low to get out of corners faster.

I would do Volk or Works wheels rather than ASA wheels

Update the list.

Note - be realistic on some of the parts. If this is to be a driver it can't have nitrous.

This list was I made for Tacoma world. I have a double cab so some parts for your guys I will not know of.

At the break kit was for the stopteck 4 wheel kit ;-)

Does TRD make a 4 disc set...I guess it would be a set for the rear since we have them on the front already.

thought you like this one.

Email reply from UNichp on how they got their dyno numbers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are reading the incorrect dyno sheet : the 40 HP is with Unichip , CAI & Catback , not just the Unichip by itself . The dyno sheet that reads 27HP is for just the Unichip on the otherwise stock truck.

Hope this helps.

LOL no debates allowed :top:

I am still looking for parts that are out there.

Right now it it the software hunt. Unichip VS URD MAF. So far Unichip is being very cloak and dagger about there magic 40 hp gains using a intake and exhaust.

The Unichip isn't real popular on this forum.

I have the URD MAF Cal, along w/ many others. We're all very happy w/ it. But, if you get the URD S/C, you'll get all the tuning items that you need. :top:

You should also check out the APR X-1 unit, DeathShadow is selling it and I think URD is working on being a vendor for it also (don't hold me to that). While your at it check out the MAPECU2, it has alot of possibilities for tuning.

Ya I have seen URD rules the XR board. I am going to be doing a all NA setup so just seeing what is the best software option I have.

One of these threads has a guy running unichips and said he thinks it is helping a little but wants the weather to be cooler. regardless of weather there should be some improvement.
