Valves are ticking!!!

It's normal oddly enough but no I myself don't like it either...wait till you put a performance clutch in!

1gr valve tick or taco tick! Best part is there is zero 'adjustment' to fix, only thing you can do is replace the buckets which means removing the cams....

I take it this is your first Toyota? Its not a problem....noisy valve train is a common staple on late model Toyota's.:top:

this always worried me as my last truck did the same thing right before i threw a rod due to the shop refinishing the heads and installing them incorrectly, but i've never had a problem with my taco and its almost got 100k on it now, not to mention it's boosted.

I use lucas upper cyl lube fuel additive and it quiets the tick down significantly. Mine ticks pretty loud running 0w30 but that lucas stuff works wonders.

just switched my oil to mobil 1 5w30 synthetic and help the engine noise alot.....
