what is the real mpg you all get on XRunners?

I'm averaging about 15mpg but I just bought my XR and the new hasn't wore off yet so of course I'm showing it off every chance i get. But i'd say normal driving I should average around 17. Not too good for a 2wd. I used to have a Explorer Sport Trac on 22"s and it got around the same mileage with a 4.0 too. I really thought getting my XR would help with mileage, man was I wrong.

If I drive like an old lady 21 on the freeway. Normal around town 17ish if I stay away from the local canyons. At a trackday I think it average 8 lol.

New bone stock: best highway cruise was 24:5mpg at 60mph/ now modded best highway cruise at 60 is 26.5mpg.

My 4.2L carbureted jeep with 33s and a weber 38/38 twin barrel gets 17-20 MPG lol
My 5.0L Mustang gets 24-26

I usually averaged 20-22 MPG. that's was a 45 mile round trip on the highway. speed limits would be 70. the last 4 miles are 55, 45, then 35.

Since i'm unemployed it sits a lot and i'm only getting 17-19 driving around.

i think that average fuel consumption from all drivers can be concluded that 17-19 is combined and 21-22 freeway.... this is "normal" driving conditions...

when i bought my truck in 08 the window sticker said this truck will cost about $2200-$2500 in gas a year... it was pretty spot on..

Before the blower I'd get around 275 miles from a tank with mixed city/highway driving, I'd have to baby it to see more. The most I ever saw was 325 miles from a tank driving 65mph on a trip to Virginia Beach and that was with the blower and all my mods.

When I run E85 the most I've seen was 260 miles from a tank which is pretty descent considering it takes 30% more fuel to run but the price is $2.45 a gallon with 105 octane and super(93) is $3.56 a gallon now. The more power I make with E85 and the price of it being cheaper makes up for the loss of mpg's

I am 18.5, alot of 80% highway and 20% city. I have a heavy foot though, I tried driving normal like a law abiding citizen whose vehicle is not made to go fast or take corners at speed, but made it about 2 days. I use Shell premium.

I get about 17-19 mpg and usually about 320-330 miles per tank. I drive 31 miles one way to work and gas is killin me. I think the least I ever got was 250 miles to the tank but that's when I first got my X and dogged the crap out of it. But now that my bike if full fairing again I'll be riding work so that'll save me some money

damn dude what were you doing...mine is all stock with mixed driving, mild heavy foot, and i get 320-350 miles to tank :top:
