which engine??

alright guys, a lot of you will probably think its a terrible idea but i dont care. deal is im tired of a V6 my whole life has been V8 cars (hence the name) but i love the styling of this truck so i am going to start saving for a LS engine

this company makes a conversion kit so it might not be too hard

LS6 is a z06 motor, and its more rare.. :biggrin:

Now a days you can build either motor to be powerhouses. But a z06 motor or a GTO motor?? Its a name game for me. :laugh:

Performance wise though, out of the box the LS2 is a better performing motor. But from what I've read the LS6 has a bit more potential.

Here is a dyno between the two motors... LS2 looks very nice here.

I accidently voted LS7, but go with the Z06 engine man!

boo on sh*tvrolet!!! go with a 4.6L Cobra engine from a 03-04 Terminator Cobra and drop a Kenne Bell blower on it.

or as DS you could do a 2JZ motor swap. parts for that are everywhere and you can easily build it for 600+HP

LS7 is the C6 ZO6 engine (427), depending on ur TGT HP output u'll need a whole new drivetrain...this will be a costly process but you may be the first 10 Sec Xrunner! Go 4 it! I got a Y2K SS LS1...I plan on making it a forged 383 with H/C/I and maybe some boost...

LS2!!!!! go on to ls1gto.com (its also ls2gto and ls7gto.com) search GEN TTR if you want all out power stroke it to 408ci with the ttr according to a coule guys its good for 1200hp even the maggy (magnuson sc) gets as high as 600hp with supporting mods then there is all motor. search up ms4 (MagicStick) cam on a gto it sounds INCREDIBLE my brother has an 05 gto and its a monster :top:

actually if i do drop the 12k for a LS7 eventually would come the twins but anything else would in the distant future get a kenne bell SC

im honestly surprised to see this much support for the idea! its awesome. i think it will come down to a LS2 or LS6 whichever i can find at a more reasonable price and a 6 speed of course. thanks guys
