AVIC Z-2 was the choice for me the only bad thing about it is the low Pre out voltage, which won't matter anyway once I install my Zapco EQ and the DVD Lock out bypass was a tad tricky. Otherwise it's a top shelf unit. Pioneer has never let me down! and is the only brand I've owned in my cars and home Theater since the 80's.

I'd say go with the Eclipse bc it's plug and play with our Toyota harnesses. I love Pioneer but if it wasn't for the fact that I already had the AVIC and got it at such a low price new I would run an Eclipse.

i have the eclipse avn6600. it's nav worked great until i got into alaska. the nav dvd doesnt have alaska maps,so i have a $1,500 head unit that the nav no longer works...lol
if i remember correctly the 5510 may have a few limitations if you opt to get the eclipse ipod controller. i just ordered my ipod controller, so i'll let you know any problems i run into once i get it installed.

i was going to get the D3 as well, but I am waiting to see if the D4 will have bluetooth or ipod built in. If jensen and dual have it, I dont know why pioneer wants $200 to add bluetooth.

I havent look at it recently but i thought it had bluetooth capabilities built in and as for the ipod, i paid 50 for a wiring kit that connected to my xm brain

You had to leave it in for the navigation? I thought you loaded it on and it saved the info
