Well, I have been talking about modifying a ride for street course racing qutie a bit lately, wife is thinking on giving up her completely stock all-trac turbo Celica, wondering out load if this might be a good option !!

the car is completly stock with very low millage, thinking a ct26 turbo upgrade w/supporting mods and suspension.

Or...should it stay stock and very rare / valuable ?

"Anyone can restore a rare and valuable classic, but it takes a real man to cut one up."
Seriously, keep it stock.

Cake ? I like cake ! Deal bro.

You know, I used to love original classic cars untill I slapped a 2JZGTE into a 1982 supra !! :crinklehair:

my thought on car modding is that if you like it that s all, however if its something in imaculate original condition that somone would cherish that way you may want to just buy a beat up example and mod it as you wish at least thats what i would do

p.s. i still wanna see pic of all you rrides

Werd! If it's stock call the Toyota museum to see if they want to buy it.

What year Celica is it? Is it the 1988 ones? My bro had one and upgraded the turbo and got the hood scoop from the newer year celica, i think from a 1991 and modded to his all-trac hood....that thing hauls a$$.

It's a 1991 in completely original condition with low miles, I will post a few pics with my s-runner.

Probobly not the best idea for a road course racer !! So, maybe it will stay a boring Sunday driver

Try some lighter wheels and sticker tires. That way it can stay as mint as possible and could help lower times.

just put a set of g-force tires on for the wife unit, she just basically coasts around town though....she might be up for some Compomotive wheels

That's tuff. I think I'd have to keep it stock myself, and find something else to build up.

I say keep it and modify it . Then just keep all orginal components and if you ever decide to get rid of it you can just swap all of the aftermarket components out for the originals. Then bang its back to a stock classic

In a normal situation, I'd say mod it or sell it.... but you happen to have a nostalgic collection so it works to keep it as is for you.
