wheel stud update: well, like the old saying goes"if you wanna get something done better do it yourself" this couldn't be more true than today's adventures in Xrunner wheel stud world.
started the day of with a call to my main man at TRD bob gardner.talked to him about the exact specs of the stock wheel studs & got the amazing answer"I don't know" but he passed me off to the man that had made the extended length studs for the TRD xrunner a mr.chris brown at APC. so I call him have to leave voice message to call me back........no return call.went to k.p.toyota and purchased 1 wheel stud and here's the gouge. the bolt size is 12x1.5 the shank measurement is 27mm in length and the nurled portion is 14mm wide.went to ebay looked under wheel studs and low & behold they do make em. a full set of either 35mm,45mm,or 50mm length bolts go for $2.00 a piece from ichiban with shipping ups ground the total for 20 + shipping is about $65.00.with the 45mm studs you can use a 15mm spacer or .590" or
1/2". with the 50mm length you can go up to .75 or 3/4" spacer and still have enough left to safely mount them or over 6 turns, but you have to use extra length lugnuts or tuner type lugs with a threaded depth of 1.27" or the other style which is 1.47" depth. so for a total expenditure of about $130.00 you can safely mount up a set of 11" wide wheels. thank you sorry for the length of the thread:top::biggrin: and have no more tire rub on the front or back.:top:
