The inside of my windows fog pretty bad sometimes.

For example I drove to work on Friday morning, parked the truck, all windows closed @ 8:00. so when I go to leave @5 I come out to the truck and the interior is all fogged up and I have to turn the defrost on and wait a few until it all clears up. I then drive to a restaurant like 5 min away and eat dinner (takes about an hour) and when I get out side the windows had started to fog again.

I guess something isnt sealing properly like the doors, or rear window, but I have never found a water leak:dontknow:

anyone have any insight? I think ill just have to take it back to the dealer:thumpdown:

my 08 fogs up pretty bad too. I carry a microfiber towel and blast it at top defrost for a min, usually gets it done.

I would check your floor for any wetness... especially under the front mats.

Personally...I think window fog is a tacoma issue in general. I have had 4 Tacoma's, from all different age ranges, and they all fogged up. I always try to see if other Tacoma owners have the same problem..

I had that and I know what the problem is you have a Cabin Air Filter underneath your glove box and needs to be changed out, there is no leak in these trucks whatsoever.

my truck is less than 6 months old and I check my filter at least once a month. Ive washed it twice since ownership. Its not the cause.

My truck, which is a 2008, and my father in laws, which is also a 2008, both fog up very badly and very quickly. as in less than a minute after turning engine off. Its a flaw in either the taco design or that batch of vehicles, and in no way related to the A/C fiter or overflow or drain.

...the a/c air filter...behind the glove box, inside a little black drop down door concealed cavity.

I know.

LMAO dude, thats not the issue. And you missed at least 2 more filters on the standard tacoma.

I only have around 2k on my truck - I know my filter is not bad. Any other suggestions?

Are all you folk with fogging problems in the same geographical area ? (NC, La, anywhere else ?) And are there other Taco's in your area that don't fog ?

Obviously, the fogging is from moisture, but where's the moisture coming from ? And if it's trapped moisture in the cab, be prepare to bleach bomb your truck because you'll get mold growth come summer time.

I noticed earler the seal around my passenger side window is not as well sealed as I would like. Check the seals around your glass.

ok, my truck has less than 2k on it and is just over 3 mths old. I cant see how it would be the cabin air filter. I have not noticed water or wetness anywhere. And I live in maryland.

Its gonna rain tomorrow so I will check for wetness again then

this seems like a fairly common problem among tacos, is there a tsb or anything?

And I have to stress that the problem arises when it sits, and I think the temperature changes, like if its warm during the day and then it cools off in the evening because on friday it didnt rain

When using the heater are you using the inside airflow circulation or the outside airflow circulation? If you are using the inside try using the outside circulation and see if this solves the problem.

I have the same problem. I know that the makers of rain-x also have a product for fog. I'll try it today and will post the results here.

rain-X works wonders when it comes to foggy windows. I used to use it all the time in my 72' Bronco...:top: + rain-X also helps with beading water off the windows...

but in all honesty...I have an 06' and have only walked out to my truck on 2 different occasion where i saw that all my windows were fogged up. I thought about it and there was still moisture in my truck from the weekend before doing a full exterior/interior detail...meaning i also washed my interior with a steam vaccuum...so that may have been the cause for me...might not be the same for you guys...
