So Doug, Im going to ask because I haven't seen it asked. How can you get in touch with the owner to at least say you tried to help him out. You're a good man, and like I said earlier you've done nothing but help me out but there has got to be something you can do to help him. Maybe mike can give him a hummer? I don't know man I hope it works out for you guys.

I don't even know the name of the owner! How's that for communication? Never have spoken to him and can't get a phone # or email address to save my life!

Crude Example:

You are a cashier at say... Pet Smart.

A customer walks in and asks for a full refund for a hamster he purchased a few months prior that has died. The store will not do the refund under their policy but the customer is still very upset.

Are you the cashier going to personally refund the money out of your own pocket????

That is a terrible example Doug. First off the Pet Smart customer got what he paid for, Willie did not. Now if Willie got the X-1 and a month later it crapped out, at least he'd be able to send it to APR to have it fixed if possible. Ain't no fixing a dead Hamster lol

The old owner of HVM is no longer at HVM, I have asked him to contact willie brown numerous times.

I personally can not even get through to him.

Thats not the premise of the example lol.

The point is I am just an employee, not the guy behind the bank account.

As an employee there should be an address, some phone number, some way for the lawyers to get a hold of the "owner." Where is the business based out of? Vegas? New York? Kinda sucks that this has tarnished your name too Doug, you'd think something would/could be done to make it right. :dontknow:

His email is an HVM address, his phone number is no longer in service, and the address on file for HVM is a PO Box...

Well, I initially tried to get a refund in February. I guess you didn't have the info then? Seems weird if he was still the owner. Look, I'm not blaming you, and you seem like a nice guy. I don't even believe it's your fault, but this could definitely have been handled better. He'll, I'd be happier if you guys had straight up told me to go blow a goat then to drag it out. When I asked for the refund, I was counting on that money. Luckily I managed without it, but the point remains.

He has been officially gone for 1-2 months (as in no longer the owner), he was not in prior to that for quite a while (you should know this since I was the only one you could talk to & I always told you he was never in; he just was never there anymore).

Me giving you an email address that im assuming he doesn't check (since I don't get a reply), and a phone number that just went to voicemail would do nothing for you....

Contact your lawyers and go through the proper channels, if I had anymore information to give you I would.

Small Claims Court

What's the max amount for small claims court in your state? I'd take the business to court. Usually small claims doesn't recommend/require lawyers. If your lucky you can get on the peoples court, Judge Joe Brown or Judge Judy.

I have delt with doug as well and all was good, as an outsider I feel for both sides, but at the end of the day money was paid for a product that was never received.. so a refund should be easy... what is this policy that we are missing:hmmmm2:

sad thing is most "owners" who fail end up filing bankruptcy anyways so even if you win youll never get paid.

happened to me on a bad paint job

Doug you arent goibg to sell crap to xrunner owners anymore due to this. It doesnt matter if that was the old boss or not. Debt stays due by company not owners. I'm assuning a chapter s corp.

U pay 1500 back and u keep a good name and keep customers or u don't easy fix. If that was me I would find out where I had to go with my baretta to get a refund. Just saying you are lucky this op seems reasonable.
