Front wheel bearings.
A couple of days after I bought my truck, I noticed black splattering on my wheels. Chalked it up to the utterly ridiculous amount of tire dressing the dealership put on the truck, cleaned it off and when on with my life. stock interior color
I would like to either paint the climate control panel black or replace it with a later (black) one. My stereo install kit is black, would look much better as a match with the climate controls. Do you use your X as a truck?
Ordered a shell for mine last week. Might be blasphemy for some here but I bought my X to use as a work truck. If I have to haul my tools and supplies to a jobsite, might as well have fun doing it.- Richie Rich

Does the X have a bit of negative camber from the factory?
Just looked a little excessive in this case. At least compared to my other trucks. Going to add "check alignment" to the list of little stuff I have for the dealership. Drives fine, just appears to have quite a bit of NC compared to my other vehicles. Wasn't sure if it was an X thing or...- Richie Rich

Mine feels a little notchy, especially the 1-2 shift. Planning on the TRD short shifter and changing out the gear oil for Redline. Will see what that does for it. And now that I have the requisite number of posts. Not much to see, just a stock black X. Pics:- Richie Rich

Does the X have a bit of negative camber from the factory?
Was just out in the driveway staring at my truck (seem to be doing that a lot). I noticed the front wheels appear to have a bit of negative camber to them. I have not noticed any odd handling behavior and the tires are evenly worn. Is this some kind of weird optical illusion, do the trucks...- Richie Rich

Gear Oil In Drums??
How many miles are on your truck and do you drift it or get sideways a lot? Reason I ask is there is a bearing behind the seal. If the bearing starts to wear out, it allows the axle to contact and eat the seal. Heavy side loading can accelerate the wear of those bearings (at least that is what...- Richie Rich

delayed throttle response fix
Glad I found this thread. As a new X owner and it being the first combo of DBW and manual trans I have driven, I though something was wrong with the damn thing. I wonder how it would react to the removal of the DBW setup and replacing it with a throttle body with a good old fashioned cable...- Richie Rich

Calling all transmission issues on Xrunner
I just signed up for toyota's service history on my new truck. Low and behold, it had a brand new trans installed under warranty less then 5k ago. Even with a new trans, I have ground 2nd gear a few times. I just attributed it to being not used to the "feel" of the 6 speed. Probably have...- Richie Rich
