2011 cluster

hears a stupid question .....lol ..... my cluster went bad after trying to do the blue led mod ..... lol ..... so i went on line and found a cluster for a 2011 Tacoma for a good deal just wondring if it will work on my 05 x-runner the plugs look the same but the wiring could be different dose anyone know anything about that or has tried that?:motz::hmmmm2:

Majority of the electrical changed in 09, while I don't know for sure I would assume its no good.
Basing that on the fact that the overhead temp consoles aren't compatable...

I tried to order an older cluster for my 11, but the ebay seller called me up and told me it wouldn't work for anything past 09.
So I can only assume the other way around won't work either.

I'd go with a stock cluster. Tho the black cat clusters look cool, it might make it difficult to sell the truck in the future. If you plan to keep it until the wheels fall off then it's not as critical.
