I had a 2002 S Runner back in the day and loved it but was wondering what kind of gas mileage yall are getting out of the X Runner. I have a full size truck now but didnt want to give up the room if i'm not gonna get any better gas mileage with what i have now. I know the sticker says 16-21 but was wondering if this was close to what they really get. I know its all on how you drive it and i dont mean getting 25mpg at going 45mph either just normal driving around town and highway. I aslo have a 92 toyota regular cab i drive back and forth to work but was wanting more room since i'm 6'4. Any input on this would help me make my decision on whether to get one or not. Thanks in advance.

I am getting 20.5 according to the ultra gauge. Almost 400 miles per tank lightly modded. Yeah, the math doesn't add up so I'm thinking the UG is off a little. If you liked the S, you will love the X. My opinion.:top:

Edit: running 93 octane non ethanol

Btw, welcome to the underground!! The best yota site hands down!!

I get 12-14 mpg. I average about 210 miles per tank. I can burn off $15 in an afternoon, easy.

I average 16 to 17 mpg in the summer but it drops to about 14 during the winter.
But it runs like a bat out of hell during the winter.

I've got a whirlpool in the tank. I thought it was leaking gas out onto the ground. It's a lead foot drain problem. Speedo goes 1 way and the gas gauge goes the other way. I love the truck, just going to live with it. No pain, no gain.

After 2.7 pulley install decided to take it normal around town and stay under 75 on the hwy. Basically 50/50 city/ hwy Averaged 19.2. Truck has 24,000 miles now and just keeps getting better.
