I live in Georgia and i recently bought a xrunner but last night i was driving my 2001 silverado which i am selling due to new x runner and got pulled over for a noise violation. I dont even have my sub woofers hooked up. Is the ticket valid without some sort of loudness meter or something?

Can be.

In MD they passed a law that says that is a peace officer can hear your radio while in his car you can be charged.

I love to jam to my tunes, but when I stop at a light I turn that stuff down so not to annoy people. Others turn their's up just to be jerks.

yeah...they will pull you here for that crap too. Just board cops if you ask me. Should have their A** kicked for writing a ticket for something like that. Should keep a box of krispy creams in your truck to give to them when they pull you over...HAHAH. Damn cops!!!

What i don't get is how come motorcycles can have their exhaust so loud you can hear them 20 miles away but people in cars can't enjoy their music? Makes no sense to me :dontknow: Oh and it could be a lot worse than 390 over here in Gulfport its a grand.

If you were on a highway then that whole situation is beyond ridiculous, as is the $390 price tag to go along with it. For that $1k in Gulfport... I'm speechless.

Now on motorcycles, as annoying as it is to the other vehicles on the road, I can see some sort of safety justification to having a loud exhaust to a certain extent. I does help to hear a bike nearby when they're often difficult to see.
