trd push start button

So if any of you get this button, it won't work they way its supposed to because the ECU won't be starting the truck, you will be rewiring the button somehow to manually energize the starter motor.
Besides, you will STILL have to put the key in the ignition AND turn it forward to the ON position. Then you will have to press the button. So it's actually HARDER and more time consuming to start the truck.....

it can be done i have done it but yes u will have to have the key in and turned and then push the button it would be for looks it will be like the s2000 srt-4 and others

Great idea, but the install seems to be more of a hassle then it's worth. This would be a great mod KIT having everything you need if someone could come up with it. :top:

lol well its not that bad i will have one in 2 months and i will just tell everyone how to do it for free. i mean ppl don't like the price now and then having doing the r-d work then making a kit look at 30 bucks more

I looked over the smart key diagram for my moms avalon and its got a lot of stuff tied into it. There are actually a few computers that control the whole system while also tying into the factory computer.

you could wire it so you can fully start it with the key or just put it in the run position and use the button :top:

yep i will do it this way

12v ign power to the amber led so when u turn it to ign it will light up
wire to clutch switch to give the buttun 12v so u will have to push the clutch in for the switch to work
push the button 12v run in the wire from button to starter


and there will be relays fusses la la la u know

it will work just like the real deal but just have a key

Not sure what part of Houston your in, but when you get the push button working I'd like to come check it out.
