Looking for some help from guys running Amsoil.

I want to run it in the motor and in my diff.

Don't have a clue what to buy. I bought RP not to long ago for the tranny. Not going to change it out........seems to be doing fine.

If anyone can give me some specs on Amsoil for our engine and diff....I would appriciate it.

Thanks,

Amsoil Dominator 10w30 Race oil.

Doesn't Race Oil not have any detergents in it? :hmmmm2:

I don't know about the Amsoil but other brands of Race Oil are not good to run in anything that's not going to have the engine torn down and rebuilt after so many hours.

Some of them can have high levels of things like Zinc that's not good in DD'ers.

AMSOIL is really good stuff.

It is expensive, unless you buy it at wholesale prices. I can hook you up with that.

Go to my website, http://www.gadgetonline.com/AMSOIL.htm and follow the links to becoming a dealer or a perferred customer. Either way it only cost $10 to sign up and you can order direct just like any dealer at wholesale prices and save a lot of money.

I use the Signature Series 0w30 in all of my vehicles. I used to be called Series 2000 0w30.

For the oil filter I use the EAO34. It is about an inch taller than the 57 for more filter media and other than that it is the exact same filter.

In my diff with the TrueTrac I am using the sever gear 75w90.

For the tranny you may want to consider this: Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90

goto a local drag/racing shop If one is near you and they will have some. Usually around $8.60 a qt from those places. At least around here

Yes they do have Zinc and Phosphorus additives which increases engine protection over any other synthetic.

I know there are plenty running DTLTs, but for those who aren't, isn't Phosphorus what kill Cats? :hmmmm2: (not to be confused with the feline variety)

guess nobody's gonna answer my question

Do you mean this stuff?:
http://www.lucasoil.com/products/di...oc=show&headTitle= - 75/90 Synthetic Gear Oil

I've never used any lucas oils. I used to put the additives every other oil change in my high school and college cars (never knew why, just did it cuz pops said so). I won't put it in my truck though.

no... this stuff.........

Lucas Heavy Duty 80/90 Gear Oil Gear oils have needed improving for years, especially in the hi-performance industry. The Lucas 80/90 enjoys the technology Lucas developed in making the "Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer", the number one supplemental oil in the heavy duty industry. This gear oil formula is fortified with special anti-wear agents and lubricity agents to control wear and drag as well as special additives to control heat. These features are not found in ordinary gear oils. This gear oil is both excellent for racecars and any heavy-duty application where plain gear oils just aren't good enough.

Is it ok to run the 0W30 Signature Series even in a naturally aspirated set up?
