If it looks like a turbo more than likely it's a URD kit but if she is thinking of turbo being any form of FI it will more than likely be the TRD S/C

there are lots of differnt things that can make it go faster "under the hood"
there are 2 primary types of "boosting"
turbocharged and supercharged.. both "boost" the air pressure going into the engine's intake... the real differnce between the two is the source of power ... turbo uses the exhust gas.. supercharged uses a belt drive like the altanator or A/C compressor.. advatages and disadvatages to both... but seems that most of the time X-Runners that have been boosted are supercharged.

which is why folks are going "lemme see" when you say turbo...

yea we are a bunch of car/truck geeks.. (otherwise known as gear heads)
