I have no clue, but I won't be going back there.. and I looked and the cheapest I found was like 3200.. unless it was used, I found one for 2300.. but the guy did say the only bad part of the trans was the shift forks because there aluminum.. i wanna see if I can find a shop to make them steel...
The problem with making parts for the transmission is that so few people out there can work on a manual transmission it would be hard to find anyone worth a damn to put them in for you.
It is a nightmare just getting professional mechanics to properly install and adjust the clutch.
But, if you can solve the syncro problem and have new forks ready to go in at the same time you might be on to something.
Could it be that the aluminum shift forks are bending slightly and thus making it where the syncros don't line up? Seems like a good possibility to me.
