VIR- June 9-10th

Alright, i've got a few buddies and myself headed to VIR (Virginia International Raceway) on June 9-10th. I was throwing out an invite to a few more guys that like to track their trucks, or people that have cars as well.

It's a two day full course event. You can sign up according to your actual experience Novice-Advanced. I've ran there before but will be going in as a novice to get comfy once again.

My three buddies going have a 2001 Porsche, 2011 GT mustang, and a 2008 R32.

Cool deal, I plan on running with trackdaze at road atlanta, maybe I will sign up for the Vir event too. Let's get some more interest in doing track events.

Hell i'm always down as long as work is permitting. VIR is a badass course, and the workers there are pretty legit. I dont know all that much of ATLs course though.

It is a fantastic time, best you'll ever have. It's a 3.2 mile run what got deal. You get two days worth of track time. Four or five runs a day and its well worth every penny. You go at your own pace, while the instructor positively critiques on points of performance. While your driving the instructor will teach you the proper driving lines coming into turns and out etc etc etc.

I'm not sure what is around you but there are quite a few tracks in Fl. I'm sure if you look around online you'll find something :top:

No classes like they do in auto x, You just need to pass a standard safety inspection. You do have to go into the classroom for instruction before and between runs on the track, and drive with some common sense, no loss of control or going of the track.

Exactly, the classroom sessions are 20 min or so and they just go over points of performance.

Come on Ajay. We can convoy it up there. I looked to see if I can take off Friday and Monday. Drive up (about 9 hours) Friday and back Monday.

I plan on being there and will loan out my camera in between my runs, I will be in the Yellow or the advanced group so it should be available for other groups.

Trackdaze lets advanced drivers take out riders, I some one has a helmet and long pants and sleeves and the other things that they require, they can hitch a ride with me.

One other thing they do at 12:00 noon is touring laps, on Saturday for anyone, you follow the pace car no helmet needed. The car sets a good pace it's a lot of fun!

Yes bring long sleeves, pants. The second day we were there it was pretty warm and people were allowed short sleeves for their hot laps.

I'm really excited you guys are thinking of coming out, get on and register so you can get you pre event inspections done and get a number for your vehicle.
