thats awesome that u have an 05 with ur original set of tires.. i have an 07 with 28,7XX and im 3/4 of the way through my 3rd set of tires.. needless to say, i drive a lot harder than u do.. i would take that tire/wheel to firestone and see what they say about this happening. i've gotten 3 free tires through the crack warranty and i have an 07, imagine what they'll do for some tires in the actual date range..

good luck :top:

oh, get KDWII's, not F1's. much better ratings and we drive toyota's, not GM's.. F1's were originally produced just for the Vette's as a factory tire.

but i need some new tires now.. they broke loose in 1st gear during normal driving(my normal driving is nowhere near as hardcore as i've seen some people drive)

Thanks guys. I have to admit that when the tire blew I didn't swerve all over the place and the rim was still in good shape. I ended up going with the eagle f1. I couldn't wait. I'm to chicken to drive with the stockers after having a blow out.

30,890 MILES ON THE STOCK TIRES BEFORE IT BLEW OF THE RIM AT 80 MPH ON THE TURNPIKE. STILL HAD ABOUT 1/32 OF TREAD ON IT. THE SIDE WALLS ARE STILL ON THE RIM. WILL POST THE PICTURES LATER. MADE MY HOLE PUCKER IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

WOW! GixX-Runner had about 30k miles on his bridgestones before it blew. I had 31k. I'm wondering how many had similar blow outs.:ahhhhh: Glad I got some new tires on now!!!!

I ended up getting the Goodyear F1 for $216 per tire. I bought five and it came out to be $1,400. I know I should of went with the KDW2 but when you wait until the last minute you pay. I didn't want to have another blow out on the highway. pretty scary thing especially commute time when everyone is in a hurry to get to work. I'm really impressed with the handling so far. 100 % better than the OEM. I thought the bridgestones were pretty good but so far these seem very good. I will see how well they perform in the wet weather.
