No, none with dyno charts that prove it, that I know of.

Soon Danielson, soon.

Me neither, I think I'm good on what mines makin now. It's a DD

maybe if some Genius could figure out something that no ones thought of yet, then maybe then the TRD blower will make more. I'm CLUELESS on what that secret part is:hmmmm2:

I guess maybe DS could get his there with the NITRO:dontknow: I'm just not smart enough to figure something like that out

The TRD X-Runner got 400 HP, but they changed the internals:

Highlights:

  • [*]Power increased to 400 hp and 350 lb.-ft of torque
[*]TRD - designed supercharger & intercooler package featuring an Eaton Roots-type supercharger with an integrated air-to-liquid intercooler.
    [*]Fully functional hood scoop
[*]TRD - modified internal engine components with new pistons, connecting rods, camshafts
[*]Kaiten billet steel flywheel, 30% lighter than stock
    [*]Aisin heavy-duty ceramic metallic clutch
[*]DC Sports true-dual polished stainless side-exit exhaust system
[*]Lowered ride height with added underbody aerodynamic components
[*]TRD 4-piston aluminum calipers front & rear using TRD 355 mm drilled rotors
    [*]HRE wheels 3-piece forged aluminum 20 X 9.5 fronts & 20 X 10.5 rears with Pirelli P
Zero Scorpion tires (front: 265/40/20 & rear: 295/45/20)

its just a number, I wouldn't worry about it.

I can whip up a 400 HP chart for my truck on a motorcycle dyno if you want.

Id say im at about 330 WHP.

talk to Eric from TTC and get some pistons, rods, and camshaft...I'm pretty sure that will get a TRD S/C well over 400+hp to the wheels...

That was crank HP.

Go to the right dyno and tell the operator you want 400rwhp, and you can have 400rwhp.

IMO dyno numbers are all BS when trying to decide if the vehicle is fast or not, and do not accurately represent a vehicles performance.

Unless they are showing gains, they are just there to try to trick you into believing something.

There is no standard, so their is no consistency. A dyno operator can make your graph say whatever you want. At the same time an experienced operator can enter bad info and you get bad numbers (too high or too low). To easy for somebody to alter the numbers.

1/4 mile MPH > Dynos when trying to determine performance. There are a LOT less factors involved, and they can't be faked or fudged to look better then they are. Posting a fake slip is one thing, making a vehicle run faster then capable of... well that is an interesting idea. 1/4 mile MPH is accurate of the vehicle in the conditions it was run under.

Of course not everybody has a track they can race at, or they might not be the best driver, so they choose not too race. But a simple acceleration video, or an X-1 log well demonstrate a vehicles real performance.

RedXr has made a thread for acceleration vids. If you guys are looking to see what kind of trucks are making more power this is the thread for you.

You'll probably over spin that supercharger to get 400hp and might even break it.

Over here in Australia we have the same arguments about dyno figures and couldnt agree more on what XrunnIT has said about the strip (1/4 mlie) is the only way to get a true indication of a cars power and XrunnIT's car is a good exapmle of the power of the TRD s/c, his mph and the weight he's at puts his car around the 330-350rwhp, correct me if Im wrong he's running a 3" pully, so add a 2.75" pully (about 4psi) and that 400rwhp would become very real in the right conditions.
Dynos' are way to easy to manipulate to inflate figures, hell I've see 50-60hp difference from one dyno to another dyno. Dyno are only tuning tools you cannot accurately compare.

Honestly if u want that kind of power, just sell the TRD and buy the URD if u want a nice kit, or get a custom turbo made. I love my TRD, but I didn't know the limitations of the charger until I started moding. the amount of $$$ i have put in I could have easily bought the MKII and had a much better set up IMO. The TRD is perfect however for people that don't want to add too much and be under warranty, thats about it (well performance, like track wise, I'm sure the off road boys like the low end TQ)

It was also a different S/C. And with all the money put into making that thing...it better be over 400. Haha!
