URD Spec-U and Full Exhaust with Sound Clip

I used a deep socket with a universal joint and long extension on some and a ratcheting box wrench on others. On a few nuts near the air injection pipe, the box wrench wouldn't fit over the nut due to space. I needed to tighten those with the open end side.

URD Spec-U and Full Exhaust with Sound Clip

Yup, took me 7 hours with air tools to install the headers and full exhaust with no instructions. I'm also an ASE certified technician. My hands and entire body are sore. I wouldn't wish this install on my worst enemy haha.

Yeah it didn't come with instructions. I think there would have been a lot less swearing if there were instructions haha. Satisfied with the outcome but damn it was a lot of work...

URD Spec-U and Full Exhaust with Sound Clip

I'll stick to installing DTLTs on the 4x4s. I almost threw in the towel on this install. Most difficult header install I've ever done haha.

URD Spec-U and Full Exhaust with Sound Clip

Installed for a friend. 2013 4x4 TRD Sport Tacoma. Install was a pain! No instructions. Transmission crossmember needed to be removed to remove the stock Y-pipe. Steering shaft needed to be separated to install the driver's side header. You need to be careful not to turn the steering wheel...

    2016 Tacoma 4x4 DC/LB 1/4 Mile

I ran it in Drive. The sport shift is just a gear limiter. The truck shifts at 6,000 RPM in drive.

    Bypassing clutch accumulator

The accumulator mentioned here is in the clutch hydraulic system. I believe it restricts fluid flow to allow smoother engagement for novice drivers. When I took mine out I gained clutch travel for my dual friction clutch to allow it to fully disengage, the clutch became easier to depress and had...

'05+ Tacoma Clutch Shuttle Valve Removal

Instructions for this mod came with my Competition Stage 3 Clutch but said it was only necessary for twin disc set ups. Clutch engagement feels better and now I can get it into 1st gear every time at a stop. Before I would have to put it in 3rd then 1st almost every time I pulled out.

'05+ Tacoma Clutch Shuttle Valve Removal

https://youtu.be/gNWWoNDpmDE The removal of the clutch shuttle valve (clutch accumulator) is required when installing a twin disc style clutch to gain more travel in the hydraulic system. I run a Competition Clutch Stage 3 dual friction clutch in my 2013 4x4 Tacoma and even with all the play...
