first of all if i'm posting in the wrong place, my bad.
work has led my girl and i to need seperate vehicles so im trying to get her 4runner back on the road. its a 94' sr5 v-6 auto. the problem im having is it started hesitating in the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and i did the fluid maintenance stuff (flush/filter change) and it didnt help i figured it wouldnt but god knows when it was last checked. anyway eventually it just stopped shifting into second altogether and ive tried many things from moving the gear selector outta drive into 2 and playing with the gas pedal trying to get it to shift but it just goes up to redline and stays there. im not too familiar with this tranny but im wondering if it could possibly be the trans' modulator? if this tranny has one. any suggestions
