I bought several of these Waffle Weave microfiber towels from excel detail and I must say these are top notch. Not only are they large and soft they absorb a lot of water.

Upon first inspection I didn't think they would compare with my Sonus waffle weave towels because they aren't as thick but I was able to dry my entire Acura with only one towel (normally would require 2 or 3 of the Sonus towels) and my XR with two.

You can't go wrong with either brand of towels just as long as you take care of them.

water blade

the California Water Blade works excellent. Just make sure there is no dirt at all on your truck or on the blade. Just wipe it constantly. It's about $20

sorry, but i would never use this on the paint. clean or not, its just too risky. a clean chamois is still the best thing to use, but they're expensive.
