new UCON EMS

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who can help me install the UCON on my truck. I personally don't feel comfortable removing the exhaust cams, installing the t-stat, etc. myself. I'm out of Los Angeles. If anyone could help me out or point me in the direction of someone who could, I'd really appreciate it.
No, I couldn't get the gears off myself without having the cam gear rotate out of place. (I'm not a big guy though). I put it all back together and gonna play it safe and take it somewhere damn it.
As for the person asking for help,.....
It's actually really really simple to get to the point of gear removal. If u just take lots of pics to be safe, everything really in my case could only go back to its proper places as the hoses etc would only reach to where they belong!
It's really not much of a job to do but I think u need 2 BIG cheater bars and some elbow grease! I just got nervous and now kicking myself for not trying harder lol
And get a 1/2"drive 17mm crowfoot wrench. (Pretty much a must I do believe).

The apr instructions also show u everything needs to be removed, but don't use those instructions for setting the timing.! Gadgets way for that is far far faster n easier!

Zombietaco.....did u get ur unit installed? Was wondering if u took it somewhere and how much it cost if so? I got sick, so haven't took mine in yet, but plan to do so any day now. Hopefully. .....I landscape, so I starting to get really busy. The urd bug is getting me though, so I best get at it soon before I buy more mods!! Lol

The teeth on cam gear are now just slightly out of position but the tooth on gear, and chain link are marked.....
So for example, the proper chain link moved let's say 2 gear teeth forward while loosening bolt.....
Would it be ok to continue if I was %100 positive that the chain link and tooth were to line back up if it was possible to turn crank backwards.?
The reason I stoped trying to remove the bolt is because the timing would move a bit while trying to remove bolt. I figure by the time I would get at other side, the marks on link and gear may b out by possibly as much as 2 links. (I'm assuming the worst of course).
I can't stand the thought of taking it somewhere when I know I can do it myself lol I think it's just being nervous bout the timing moving.
Any thoughts? If that made sense to anyone lol

It's been killing me having the ucon sitting there (on my coffee table of course!) lol
Well....I think its time to have another go at it this weekend. Maybe get a couple big friends just incase.

Me too. That's why I'm asking him lol
I almost broke my elbow when doing the passenger side. Was doing it alone and when the bolt broke loose I smashed my elbow off the inner fender. Did not feel good lol
Ya, I had a wrench on the cam aswell, but I wasn't strong enough to completely counter the force. I thought about having the cam holding wrench kinda rest against the motor or wherever so I could use both hands on the gear bolt and whatever the wrench for holding the cam is against would hold that wrench for me. The instructions said something about not letting the chain take the force and to make sure u counter the force n I wasn't sure if they were basically saying not to do what I was just taking about. I was also needlessly nervous also lol and didn't know gadgets tip for breaking bolt loose then put timing back before loosening off.
Is that what u guys did was rest the wrench for holding the cam against something to take the force? Or did u hold both wrenches with ur hands? Just wondering is all. Every time I make time to try installing it, I get another job pop up. Unfortunately work has to come first.

Kookla, I had my buddy who's a professional mechanic install my UCON. Runs great! Only issue I'm currently running into is my "check engine" light being set off. My buddy looked into what codes were being set off and his diagnostic tool was saying that both bank 1 & 2 were running lean (which they shouldn't be). We thought it could be the rear o2 simulator that could be throwing it off, so we removed it but it still set off the "check engine" light. Notified Gadget and he said one of his reps would look into it.
