I wasnt able to make a run either

went out, and saw 6...yes 6 cop cars in 6 different spots with radar on my truck

so I decided tonight wasnt the best time to try 1/4:laugh:

haha... i know what you mean. You think going out and finding a straight stretch with no traffic thats over 1/4 mi is easy but i was proved to wrong tonight, i really wanted to try this out too. :motz:

ELAPSED TIME:
60' = 2.68 sec @ 26.3 MPH
330' = 7.29 sec @ 50.4 MPH
1/8 mi = 11.01 sec @ 65.3 MPH
1000' = 14.23 sec @ 76.4 MPH
1/4 mi = 16.90 sec @ 84.2 MPH

Hmmm... those numbers do seem to line up pretty well. I may have to get this one for 13 bones. Maybe I'll get it tonight/tomorrow and make a run or two. I'm sure that I can find a 1/4 mile of straight road around here. :biggrin: Thanks for doing the testing bro!

I noticed you guys are only putting in the trucks weight. It tells you to put in the weight of the truck, passengers, and cargo.

For me, that's 3,900.

After 5 runs last night...

Vehicle Average:

0-60mph 7.67sec
60' 3.09sec @ 24.7 mph
1/4mi 14.78sec@ 134.5 mph

Max Speed 77.2 mph
Max Accel. .87G's
Peak HP 212HP

Dude, this thing is fun, but I don't think those numbers are quite right.

There is also a turnaround close to where I was. .98G's at 47 mph

I put total weight at 2,900 (2690+me @ 210)
15% drive train loss (approx 198 hp to wheels divided by 236 hp from engine - low ball average I think and based on what I've heard hp at wheels on this site.)

I think the reason your numbers are off is because the vehicle weight, heres what were rated at by the specs :top:

Curb Weight (man): 3,690
GVWR: 4600

But GVWR is whats considered "legal" not the actual weight. That's just what the truck is capable of weighing without causing problems

What is the difference between Curb and GVWR? Sorry, that's prob a noob question :laugh:

Curb Weight is the actual weight of the truck without any passengers or cargo in it. It’s the base weight that is used in subtraction to calculate the total weight of the vehicle with passengers and cargo.

Gross Vehicle Weight is the total weight of the loaded vehicle. This includes the vehicle itself and the cargo that is loaded within that vehicle.

Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings are the ratings that are calculated by the manufacturers as to be the amount of weight that the vehicle will be when the vehicle itself is weighed filled with gasoline and loaded according to manufacturer’s specifications.

Ha, I already deleted that question:eviltongue:

So in reality, I weigh 210, truck is 3690, and I had prolly 2 gallons of gas which is approx 13lbs.

So my curb weight at that point is 3913... which is what I should have entered, but I can't imagine 13 lbs would throw it off that much.
