We crashed around 8:20 EST and everyone walked off the plane injury free.

Right rear landing gear failed. We diverted from White Plains to JFK for a longer runway and better response team.

wow crazy man. bet that was pretty intense. lol funny thing is i just booked a flight w/ Delta and my chick was saying that they have been known to have issues w/ planes and what not. I told her it didn't matter cuz the tickets were free! Better than paying $400 for 2 round trip tickets to colorado. I think I'll leave this to myself - that is if she doesn't hear about it on the news

Glad to hear everything worked out and everyone walked off the plane without any other incidents.

As a side note, the carrier was Delta Connection operated by Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA). ASA has been under the spotlight in recent years due to a string of crashes and near-misses.
