transmission locked in 6th gear

well the replacement trans locked up in 6th gear before our vacation. I just found a good deal on a aisin trans from the Cadillac cts but the linkage is different. has anyone used one out of the cts? If so what needs to be changed?
239,000 miles on the truck about 60k on the replacment trans that was due throw out bearing wearing thru the nose cone on the origional trans.

I'm at 39 k on my 08 have you been changing your tranny fluid with redline every 15k?

yep on the fluid changes but every 25k with redline
looks like I broke a syncronizer key

Yea I wouldn't go more than 15k on our trannys for fluid changes...

I haven't heard of anyone using the aisin AY6 out of any other vehicle. Good luck with the swap.
