Press the "DISC" button again on the HU. It should work after that.

It just switches between the CD changer and CD I. I've tried everything I can think of. I can't figure it out lol

Note: The end of the original post#1 says:
"-If you remove the Ipod from the vehicle and put it back in it takes a couple of minutes to reconnect, the headunit will usually display Open CD or Aux 6-1 until it finishes connecting."

When mine goes to CDI, it works (I have the PA20-TOY).
Once in CDI mode, try going to Disc #9. This should be the AUX input.
I don't know about the PA12, but on the PA20, Dip switch #1 should be in the ON position to activate the AUX/RCA input.
If all else fails, go to a small install shop and ask them for help!
So this thing will work with and play from an iPhone.
Plays and charges my iPhone 3G.

There has been quite a chunk of time between the original write-up and now. Is the PA-12 still recommended? Personally, I'd like something I can get locally vice ordering online; it's Wednesday here and I plan a 6-hour road trip on Friday.

If I could grab something from Target or Best Buy, I could install it tonight or tomorrow and be ready. But the one poster who mentioned a similar unit from BB said he got static.

Anyway, suggestions are welcome. Oh, I have a '05 XR with the stock stereo. Thanks again.

Thanks for the great write-up! Made the install a breeze. Installed the PA15-TOY, and it works great. I dont know if it is the newer model, but there is no wait time if i disconnect my ipod and reconnect it. Anyway, great purchase and i strongly recommend!
