Billy,
Don't forget G will be at X-Fest. I'm sure he'll be able to find a few minutes to chat with you while we're down there. Get the White Knight ready to roll.

I don't know if the weird noise and white mist in your drive way had anything to do with it.

I still think that was refrigerant...you had no AC on the way home.

G, I sent URD an email asking for some advice and quotes with options. I'm dead serious this will be rebuilt. I have no car payments so I can afford a car parts payment. lol.

Id talk to a few of the guys who have done builds, and ask their opinions on the outcomes and cost too. Clifford, torspd, doubled...etc...

Just saying....:top:

Looks like a wrist pin hanging out of the hole in the block to me. Not a rod so it was a piston failure. Maybe you still have a good crankshaft.

I broke a rod in my first engine, from hydro-lock. Crank was still perfectly fine. It is in my current "stock" engine. Runs like a champ too.

The flapper is not loose, I cannot open it without meeting resistance I pushed it in on the top and bottom and it does not open. It feels solid, meaning it likely is not damaged.

I didn't think you could reach the "flapper". Are you confusing the throttle body with the big plastic intake manifold? Or am I mistaken?

Yep, guess I'm not there yet. You mean between the plastic intake manifold and the heads?

Only the data listed in my first thread captured at the time of the incident by the scan gauge. Not logging with the X1 or any other device specifically. Does the X1 have any historical data in it I could still connect and retrieve? The check engine codes still exist and I'll post the summary of them. They only happened at the time of the event, no warning or indicating code.

The scan gauge had a p0000 on it and frozen data to go with it.

No, the X-1 does not have a flight data recorder. That is a feature we designed into the UCON, but have yet to activate it.

There is no P-0000 codes. If you get a real scan tool you can pull the real code and the freeze frame data from the ECU from the moment when the code was set, BEFORE you disconnect your battery.

No, just wondering if you were running a log when it let go. Would be nice to see and engine blow on a log.
