Save your self the heart ac he and swap to a better platform, but if that doesn't interest you, I've got a stroked sleeved fully built block I'll make you a deal on.

All that time and $$$ and you're ready to pass it off? I understand some people's preference to go LS. I just think, if it were me I wouldn't be able to bastardize my truck like that (Chevy in a yota). That and the fact that it involves rewiring the truck and a new trans/driveshaft/rear end gears. But like I said I can see the intrigue of all the aftermarket support, n/a baseline power, and proven reliability.

Billy maybe you can be up and running before winter, lol.

Cliff, how quickly can you have it to NH? X-Fest is next weekend. Engine swap meet at Billy's Sat.

I can have it out as quickly as some one can give me money haha.

I tried sticking to the 1gr power plant, but the truth is it can't make the power I want reliably. I mean hell, 3,500 miles into my 14k dollar motor and I blew a head gasket. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Then you have to factor in people who are making power have to T56 swap, which that alone can cost more than a complete lsx swap which comes with the trans.

The 1gr is a great motor if you never want to push passed 400whp. If you want to do that, and want it to be reliable and take non stop beatings, well you better have a big check book.

That being said, my stroker motor was on pace to hit 400whp and 500 tq at 5 psi before the HG popped.

the 1gr sucks I gave up after multiple trys to make it right. this is why im in the middle of doing a ls swap. reliable power and costs less than a 1gr. you can accomplish 500whp with a n/a build.

Hey now!! Just because we actually drive our trucks the way they supposed to be driven is no need to take shots at us!! Hahaha

So I blew my motor due to my proximity to Canadian Culture, 3 hours south?

Cometic on mine. If I was going to fix mine, I wouldn't go with them again.

I have had no problems with my Cometics. Can't fault the head gaskets for other reasons which damaged the engine.

Huh. What other options are there besides stock then !?

Good to know. I went with Cometics on my Dubcab

Can easily be accomplished.....starting logging and hand your keys to one of the canadians

I'm gonna have to come down and slap you sir!! I would say teach you how to drive but he we keep blowing motors....

Cometic gaskets in my motor too, no issues with em but I am also NA and only have 8k km on my motor since rebuild and it's about to *hopefully* get torn down again...

Cometic gaskets are fine so are stock the trick is use copper spray gasket on the gasket top bottom and in between each layer.

I would go back to stock ones if I was going to do it again. Just what the shop out here recommends, he doesn't like cometics in any of his high hp builds. It's all preference.

I've heard stock is best with copper head gasket spray
