So, we are up. Heading to get MANCHEX's wrecked SWB. Going to be a long couple of days, but it will be worth it in the end. Oh, if anyone needs a tranny, better speak up now. I may keep it for myself in case mine goes out. Interested let me know. Also, now it time for parts off his truck too. He is going to be selling the shell when we are done. Small parts ok to ship. Large parts you will have to come get. Let me know. I know anything broken or missing on KETCHUP is getting replaced.

Hard times are hard, but thing are looking up. Motor is paid for now. Just have to pay for the bay, towing, oils, etc.

You should do a 'Write-up' for this motor swap...with tons of pics :top:. It's one of the few write ups we don't have yet, and it would be nice to have the whole process documented.

Unbolt old motor
remove from engine bay
insert new motor
bolt in new motor

DONE!

Dam brother sh!t just hasn't been going good! If I knew what the hell I was doing and u needed help id take day or 2 off and drive down to help! That really sucks! Id be fukd if my truck was down again! Blew my truck money on it last yr paying for new tranny! I got no back up cars or bikes anymore! Sorry again brother! Just glad u had the other motor ready and not having to look for one!

Look at the passenger side of the ypipe...there is a section in the front with a cat that bolts to the headers and the rest of the Y..... that bolt on section is what I need.. If you take a pic of the Y, I'll show you the part exactly.

Just was reading through the thread, that sucks about the motor, but the good news is that you are back up and running with the help of a bunch of members.


Did anyone take a video or describe what the engine sounded like? Did it sound ok at an idle?
Just curious about it, since some of the other posts in the engine swap thread were talking about a ticking noise?
