GOT IT RUNNING TODAY!!!
still have a few things to button up....
got a CEL P0031[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif].....
fault code is about an oxygen sensor heater circuit failure located in bank 1 sensor 1. (bank 1 is at exhaust manifold by the #1 cylinder head, bank 2 is on the 2nd cylinder head). On some engines, both exhaust manifolds could have one oxygen sensor on each side on both cylinder heads.
maybe i didn't get the main ones "clicked" in right.... my truck was up on jack stands and i was crawling around the engine bay.. lol... ya i fit...
ill look at it tomorrow..
i ran it down the street to park it since i had it backed into my garage.. i punched it once real quick... it didn't build boost??? wtf?? im hoping that the o2 has something to do with it and the truck is in safe mode.. when i punched it there was no power... when i say real quick it was really quick.. lol.. the lack of power made me say "nope" and let off..
the ride was about 6 houses down my street to a spot to bust a "U"
i was able to get the rear O2 wires to the sensors without cutting or extensions.. i unhooked the connector from there spot and the wires had plenty of slack.. so i just zip tied them in there new home..
i was not watching what i was doing when i was removing the o2's from the Y-pipe and when one of them came loose (used impact gun) it spun around the connector smacked the cat and the connector shattered.. so i got one to replace.. the contacts were fine... so i lined up the wires with one that was good and slipped it into the connector on the truck and gave it a few good layers of tape.. i do not think that one is my problem... but i will find out soon enough...
till tomorrow...
i still am going to build a "smack bar" to protect the turbo since it is a little lower than i wanted... ya i lets post that one pic up.. lol...
the plan is to have a bar in front and a slide cage under the turbo... till i can get it under the hood..
i am going to get some square tube and use some of my old rear bumper to make it look closed off... ill just have to post some pics when i do it... hard to explain..
