I read that this truck out handles the 350Z. I find it hard 2 believe. Our trucks are pretty damn heavy and long. Any tips on improving handling?? :driver:

Our trucks do beat a 350Z. (ON THE TRACK). I forget what magazine it was. I think it was car and driver. They did a head to head comparison test with our trucks and the z on a closed track. Our truck beat it. This is when I fell in love with the X

WRONG.

our truck pulls more LATERAL G'S than a 350Z but it can out-brake and out-accelerate our trucks so on a track, we cant touch it. we can take a corner faster but that doesnt help very much.

Well I did read the article in the Car and Driver, as well as the specs. In their test, the X beat the Z.

I think that it does help that we can take curves faster than they can. I love being able to grip the road

I know you don't believe me but that is what the X did in their test. It had better track times than the Z. I was surprised myself. Maybe the Z had loose wheels.:top:

boost the truck, bbk, rear disc conversion, and now your braking, accelerating, and cornering is better then the Z, not to mention most other vehicles out there.

Truck Handling
Toyota says that, during testing, the X-Runner's road-holding ability was measured by an electronic accelerometer in excess of 0.9 g's of lateral acceleration, which is better than other trucks on the market. The manufacturer says it performed better than many sports cars, including the new Nissan 350-Z.

showUSloc=(checkLocale('uk')||checkLocale('au'));document.writeln(showUSloc ? 'US, ' : ''); August 22, 2006 - Toyota has made some big claims about its Tacoma-based X-Runner sports pick-up truck, the biggest claim being that the X-Runner can go head-to-head with the Nissan 350Z. While Toyota may say that the X-Runner was able to pull .9Gs on the skidpad and deliver a sub 7-second 0-60 time in testing, the X-Runner is no Z killer. Read the last sentence.

It will beat on the track, not 0-60

im not saying we cant take a turn faster because we can, but at the track there is more than just constant turns, you have to take into account braking and acceleration also, the x looses in both of those catergories. skidpad test only take into account the turning part of this equation, it does not take into account the other two. so we can beat them if there is a one turn track somewhere.
