I cannot speed shift my trans like you do. It simply will not go into gear.

If you have not blown it by now, you are probably good. You were boosting that thing so damn lean and a backwards intercooler, I have no idea why it still runs. That is fixed now.

Get the Tundra and keep the X. Solved....

there was an adapter plate made by lc that was for the t56 I had a link to it but it went dead and when I searched again there was only the auto one.

same here :hmmmm2:

did anyone ask them yet?

heres a chart of a 6k redline xrunner with stock rear end gearing (3.15) and a t56 from 1994 and up, its horrible. it would be a bare to even get into first.

redline 54.8 82.0 112.2 145.9 197.2 291.8

then here is the stock chart

redline 35.0 66.6 97.9 122.6 145.9 173.7

and the chart with the t56 and 4.56 rear gearing ( my opinion is perfect). this would allow a more usable 1st and 2 gear with a awesome 3/4 gear pull for those with FI upgrades.

Makes you get a boner just looking at them........

I would pick the Ford with a 2.97 first gear.
 you said boner:laugh:

yeah those magnum ones are bad ass
with a 2.97 first you would need around a 4.56 to be geared just slightly higher than stock.
I would personally consider going as high as a 4.88 or 5.10
currently I am prepped to swap to 3.73 but I bought those gears before talking about doing the t56 swap and am holding off so that I wouldn't have to tear it apart twice.

Hang on to those. I might be interested. I need to see how this unfolds.

I would be highly reluctant to go any higher than a 4.88. Our axles are small compared to other trucks so that means for a small pinion gear. High torque and small gear equal a potential for failure of the gear. Seen it many times in the off road scene.
Absolute lowest I could see would be a 3.73. Somewhere between a 4.10 and 4.56 is where would be best all around.
Don't know if companies started making ratios between 4.88 - 3.73 yet. Haven't looked in a long time. Used to only be able to get 4.88.
And yes I know, 4.10 from a 4 cylinder 4x4
