tranny issues?

hey guys. i just got my XR this wkend and i'm noticing that its hard to get into 3rd gear...sometimes 2nd gear when i'm driving. its not that its not going in, but it feels a bit notchy. could this be a tranny fluid related problem? :dontknow:

my rsx had similar problems with 2nd gear grind issues. just brought bad vibes. any kind of feedback would be much appreciated. :smile:

I'd say get a short throw shifter (URD or TRD) and put some redline MT-90 fluid in. Between those two things, it should really help to solve that.

How much does Redline MT-90 cost, and how many quarts should we use?

capacity is 1.9qt you might want to buy 3 though in case you spill or something

I don't know on cost.. I put royal purple in mine but it will take just under 2 quarts.

thanks for the tips! i'll do a tranny flush probably after my break-in period.

any difference in performance between redline and royal purple? they pretty much cost the same.
