Hawaii has been insane with thefts for the past decade. Something should be done about it. Between cars and motorcycles it's on top of the theft list.

But there are dumb enough people there who would do that. Like the rims for instance. People would swap the rims and say it's a different truck, even the though license plate is the same...haha!

Is the mileage right for his truck? (I guess that could be changed with a new cluster). Hope this is his, would be great 1) to catch the punk that stole it, and 2) get it back in 1 piece.

I seen that craigs list ad as well, it does look exactly like the truck. it also looks like he still has just the XRunner emblem on the back, and idk if "illest's" truck had that. but its something that might give it away. someone should just ask the guy for some pictures where they can make out the plates just to see if the plates match up.

Just say you want to buy it and vin it. Plates can be changed. Don't go by the dash vin only. Look at the firewall stamping, all the doors, tail gate and vin stickers along the fenders.

I hate to say it, but thieves in Hawaii are dumb! My stock brakes were never used, and I asked the dealer for them back. Had them in our parking garage, and one day they were gone. Then we found an add on Craigslist for them. They were in my TRD BBK box, and he labeled them as TRD Big Brakes. But they were my stock brakes.

Long story short, we called him and met him. Sure enough, the fool tried to sell me my own brakes. The box even had my last name written on it.

So this is PROOF, that people in Hawaii have no brains when it comes to dumb shiet like this.

My point, these trucks that are posted on CL in hawaii could be his.
