Just heard on the radio the recall was due to floor mats getting in the way and causing the accelerator to get stuck :dontknow:
Got another email from Toyota regarding this--->
Toyota released the attached Toyota Consumer Safety Advisory to our customers.
As a courtesy to our customers, please have your sales and service staffs advise and assist them with removing any removable drivers floor mats, especially aftermarket ones, on the following vehicles. Please call me if you have any questions.
- 2007 – 2010 Camry
- 2005 – 2010 Avalon
- 2004 – 2009 Prius
- 2005 – 2010 Tacoma
- 2007 – 2010 Tundra
- 2007 – 2010 ES350
- 2006 – 2010 IS250 and IS350
For any of you that need a laugh, check out the instruction that Toyota gave our service department to "TEMPORARILY FIX" the recall-->
