Congrats. What was the deal wih the Lambo pic? What'd they think about that?

The first weekend I drove my XRunner back to California, I got invited to the annual Lamborghini event in San Diego.

One of Brian's friends has a Diablo and they wanted a truck to tag along on their cruise to haul tools a couple of spare tires and stuff. For those of you that don't know, or been in a Lambo there just is not much room for anything but fun in those cars.

So, I got volunteered to be the support vehicle for the event.

The cruise went from a hotel in San Diego down to a nice restaurant on the Mexican boarder. The route went down some very exciting twisty roads with some high speed straights. At one point I was upto 140 MPH.

The funny thing was the XRunner was right on their asss the whole way. In the twisties and the high speed straights. They could not get away from the XRunner.

We got to the restaurant and parked. That is where the picture is from. Several of the Lambo owners walked over to me with the look of great concern on their faces and asked if my truck was stock... I popped the hood and let them see the supercharger system and they felt a little more at ease. A couple told me that they were going to buy an XRunner and get the URD Supercharger for it.

They were OK having me along on the cruise, but I was asked that when we all went to the dinner later that night, not to park the XRunner with the Lambos. They had a whole street blocked off to park all of Lambos and other exotics. I pulled off and found street parking.

You would not believe the crowds that showed up to see the cars. There must been 1000 people and news media that showed up to cover the event.

Anyway, that is the story of the Lambo picture. It was a very fun event.
