    Thanks for the tips man. I got the car at invoice because a friend I worked with has bought 3 cars from them already. I will try to get a shoe-in there. The only problem is that the dealer is about 45 mins away :thumbdown: What do I need for stage 2? An intake and Cobb A/P ??

    I had a 600RR and I want to say it came with dunlop tires. I swapped them out with michelin pilot powers, and the speedo was off. You really should attempt to use RPM as the speedo in your head. I forget how to calculate but it can be done and it's more reliable because the RPM's don't lie!

    To be fair, you can't really compare a cars speedo to a bike speedo. The bike speedo can be off a lot if the tires get worn.

    You are in the northeast, wait until it drops down into the teens at night and go on the highway. It does not take long to hit that limiter (if you have it)

    That's actually pretty high for a stock pickup anyway. There are very few places around here you can do a top speed run with no consequences.

    Well I'll be damned. I'm a believer. Brand new composite bed. There was an additional $3200 worth of damage underneath, so that put the repairs over 10K. I am shocked this wasn't totaled.

    yeah but the downside to that is the shop does not make money on the deal. They will get money for labor on checking it out + storage, but no more.

    Well, the bed is cracked. I will talk to him when I drop off the truck in a little bit. My guess is that the shops estimate is going to be higher than the insurance company.

    Initial estimate is $7,201. When it is brought in for repairs, they will tear it down and see what else is bad. They said they cab is repairable.

    It doesn't appear he hit the frame under the bed, but he was damn close. I want to go get an estimate from a local shop before the adjuster comes and see what kind of game they're gonna play with me. I know insurance companies love to lowball on this kinda stuff.
