So today I left my house around 0700. It rained all night and the streets were wet (not raining when I left). My truck was in the garage all weekend as well (didn't drive it since I came home Friday afternoon).

So after turning on to the main street I did my usual. Spun a little sideways in 1st, shifted into second, shifted into third just before redline. When I did that, the steering wheel got stiff and I glanced down to see the oil pressure light was on and the engine wasn't running.

I thought......oh crap.....there goes the motor. I blew one before. Didn't hear a bang so I figure it may be a busted s-belt. Open the hood. Nothing out of the ordinary. Got back in the X and it started right up with no problems. No cell. Drove all the way to work halling ass to see if it would do it again. No issues.

I did have the AC on to see if the computer had reset but it hadn't. It was still blowing ambiant air. I don't know if this caused the truck to die.

Any help would be greatly appricated!! This has me worried.

My first guess would be the intake. Check to see if the filter is on properly. What kind of grille do you have? I have heard that if your running an aftermarket grille then that could cause the truck to stall out and die (poor MAF reading).

if you load up the throttle and then get out of it all the way, the mad cant take that type of hit, so it will kill the truck. Nothing wrong with it, happened to me once or twice. hell all i did when it happened to me was left the clutch back out and it started itself back up doing 80mph. rolling jump start:D

ok guys. I will check the filter. It just did it again when I came home. Same thing, rev just before red line in second, shifted into third and it did it again. Started right up. Makes sense. I have an aftermarket billet grill. Maybe I should go with the stocker again.

Anyone got a stock RR grill that they would trade for my RR chrome billet??

doesn't sound like its a stock issue. Sounds like the filter is the issue....:eviltongue:

If you wanna try a quick test just slap some tape on your grill over the left side in front of the filter and see if the problem goes away. If it does then you know it's the intake.

I don't get this, so with the URD intake if you go redline your engine dies? Is everyone with this intake having problems or just a few?
